hello!

i'm keaton, a twenty-two year old artist, writer and various adjacent things from new jersey.i began studying theater acting as a freshman in high school. as a junior during the pandemic, i dove into playwriting. i've written two full length plays and one ten minute play so far and am currently working on a third full length play and collection of ten to twenty minute plays.you can find more information on my works here.

When It Rains [one-act]

When their mother dies, it does not come to a shock to either of the sisters, Ruby or Pearl. During the girls’ childhood, Rose was thrown into the maternal role for Pearl after their mother’s break from reality. Nearly twenty years later, Ruby, the seemingly well adjusted, is still taking on the role to care for the unhealthy and immature Pearl. Despite this divide between their abusive mother and them, this loss triggers a downward spiral into paranoia for Pearl as she becomes obsessed with the imminence of her own death. Ruby struggles to pull Pearl back into reality in a fight against the monsters in her sister’s head. The Staying Power of Stars [one-act]

Simon has waken up in a strange liminal space with no memories besides his name, his only companion is a girl called Starchild. This strange girl who seems to speak in riddles claims she can guide him in regaining his memories. Through touching seemingly mundane objects, she does guide him.
